Spur Gear

The spur gear is the simplest type of gear manufactured by Pinak Industries and is generally used for transmission of rotary motion between parallel shafts. The spur gear is the first choice option for gears except when high speeds, loads, and ratios direct towards other options. Spur gears are designed to transmit motion and power between parallel shafts. Spur gears are the most popular form and the most efficient type of gearing for the cost when transmitting power and uniform rotary motion from one parallel shaft to another. Spur gears may be operated in a “gear-trained” of two or more gears, but they must all be of the same diametrical pitch and pressure angle. Spur gears are available in different materials like steel and iron. They connect parallel shafts, have involute teeth that are parallel to the shaft and can have internal or external teeth. They cause no external thrust between gears. Flank or the face contacts the meshing gear, the most useful feature if the spur gears. The spur gears work correctly only if they are fitted to parallel shafts. These spur gears can be meshed together correctly only if they are fitted to parallel shafts.
