Spur Gear




The spur gear is the simplest type of gear manufactured by Pinak Industries and is generally used for transmission of rotary motion between parallel shafts. Worm Gear




Worm gears resemble screws. A worm gear is usually meshed with an ordinary looking, disk-shaped gear, which is called the gear, wheel, or worm wheel. Worm gears are used when large gear reductions are needed. It is common for worm gears to have reductions of 20:1, and even up to 300:1 or greater. Many worm gears have an interesting property that no other gear set has: the worm can easily turn the gear, but the gear cannot turn the worm. This is because the angle on the worm is so shallow that when the gear tries to spin it, the friction between the gear and the worm holds the worm in place. This feature in the worm gear is useful for machines such as conveyor systems, in which the locking feature can act as a brake for the conveyor when the motor is not turning. There are three types of worm gears. The first are non-throated worm gears. An enveloping (hourglass) worm has one or more teeth and increases in diameter from its middle portion toward both ends and is the second type of worm gear. And the third worm gear is double-enveloping worm gearing comprises enveloping worms mated with fully enveloping worm gears. It is also known as globoidal worm gearing. Bevel Gear




Bevel Gears connect intersecting axes and come in several types. They are useful when the direction of a shaft’s rotation needs to be changed. Using Bevel gears of differing numbers of teeth can change the speed of rotation. The Bevel Gears are usually mounted on shafts that are 90 degrees apart, but can be designed to work at other angles as well. Spiral Bevel Gear

Glow Plug




A Glow plug is a heating device used to start diesel engines. In diesel unlike petrol Glow plug are used instead of spark plugs to induce combustion. A Glow plug is pencil shaped with heating elements at the tip. Electrified heat due to low electrical resistance begins to emit light in the visible spectrum hence they are called Glow plug.
